Eligibility Requirements for the Grandparent Waiver
- The student must have a
grandparent who has a legal relationship to a student’s parent as the
natural or adopted parent or legal guardian of the student’s parent.
- The grandparent must be a
legal resident of Florida as defined in Florida
Statue Section 1009.21.
- Submit a freshman application as a full-time
undergraduate student for the summer or fall term immediately following high
school graduation.
- Have an SAT combined score (or ACT/CLT equivalent) no lower than the 89th national percentile.

Application Status page in order to process your request. Your request cannot
be processed until each of the following has been received.

of form attesting to relationship between applicant and grandparent

evidencing student has met the minimum test score requirement (Official OR
Self-Reported)
Acknowledgement
I hereby request a Grandparent Waiver, which is applied for
110% of the required credit hours of the undergraduate degree in which I am in enrolled. I acknowledge approval of this waiver does
not constitute a change in my designated residency status.
