Activity Description
Virtual 3D Social Spaces are platforms for communicating and collaborating that allow connecting with people and bringing in resources from around the internet for classes, meetings, and social events. This workshop is designed to present Mozilla Hubs, an open-source virtual social platform that can enhance teaching and learning, including in times of social isolation. Mozilla Hubs take users to virtual 3D social spaces that can all be experienced in a web browser. If you can browse the web, you can use Mozilla Hubs to join faculty, friends, and other students to create and experience content together. In this 90-minute workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the tool, its capabilities, limitations, see proposed and real-life use cases, and get basic guidance in a hands-on experience. This workshop is part of No Walls Teaching.
